Founded in 1995, the Cotswold Vale Talking Newspaper (CVTN) provides audio recordings of news and features from the Gazette newspaper, circulating in the county of Gloucestershire and the unitary authority of South Gloucestershire. We regularly include stories from other local publications, websites and community newsletters. Our studio is in Dursley, and listeners are also from the neighbouring towns of Berkeley, Cam, Chipping Sodbury, Wotton-under-Edge, Yate, and the surrounding villages. Programmes are recorded and distributed on Friday mornings on USB sticks using the Royal Mail’s free postal service. Special players are provided, if required, on free long-term loan. Our output is also available via BWBF's App and streaming service. We also record a quarterly magazine "Kaleidoscope" with a miscellany of readings and poems. Occasional special programmes feature news and interviews about local events or organisations. Listeners have a named volunteer who provides support and advice on our service. WE CONTINUE TO BROADCAST REGULAR ‘CVTN AT HOME’ EDITIONS ON BWBF THROUGHOUT THE COVID-19 CRISIS
