The Ipswich and District Talking Newspaper (Sound On) - a free audio newspaper for people with sight impairment
90 minutes of local news and information each week to approx. 200 listeners
Magazine edition twice per year
Sound On is recorded by volunteers and distributed on USB memory sticks to listeners by post. We can also provide the players for use
with the memory sticks.
Sound On is also available to listen to online using a Smartphone, tablet or computer (needs broadband).
New listeners are welcome at any time, as are new volunteers willing to help in the production and distribution services.
The Ipswich and District Talking Newspaper is a registered charity (No. 272773) funded by donations and run entirely by volunteers.

2. On a Smart Phone; look for the Talking Newspaper App (Yellow and Black Icon) from The British Wireless for the Blind Fund in your App
store, install it and look in the Eastern Region for the Ipswich & District Talking Newspaper editions. You will see both current
editions of the newspaper and magazine.
Note: There are now two Apps available from The British Wireless for the Blind Fund, one of which is enabled for speech commands.
