Peter White MBE has been President of the Talking News Federation since 2004. Peter is a visually impaired British broadcaster who currently presents (with others) You and Yours and (since 1974) In Touch both on BBC Radio 4. In Touch is a programme for blind and partially sighted people, and Peter regularly contributes to other science, news or educational programmes to talk about disabilities. He was the presenter of Channel 4’s Same Difference (1987–1989) and Central Television’s Link (1989–1991). He was made the BBC’s Disability Affairs Correspondent in 1995. He was part of the reporting team for BBC News at the 2008 Beijing games.
Peter has written two books, See It My Way and Being Blind.
Mike Wood has been a trustee of Swindon TN since 1984. During which time he has carried out all roles within the organisation at one time or another. Mike continues to take an active role in the Talking News Federation and was in the forefront of creating the organisation. Having been the founder Chairman he stood down in 2012 and became Vice President. In 2015 he returned in the Chairman role for a year, returning as Vice President in October 2016.
