Established in the mid 1970's, sponsored and run by Newry Lions Club, Newry and Mourne Echo is produced weekly and distributed to 100 recipients.
Volunteers read news and features taken from the "Newry Reporter" and the "Newry Democrat".
The recordings are transferred to memory stick (USB)
The memory sticks are posted out each week, in special pouches, to Recipients.
The service is FREE for visually impaired people.
The Newry and Mourne TN is operated and funded by Newry Lions Club.
We welcome applications from anyone wishing the service. We also welcome volunteer readers.
Local Writer Groups are also regular readers of their own work
